Its official! Grace has finished recording her debut album. It has been a 3-year project and one which she is immensely proud to have accomplished. If anything, Grace is even more determined to make singing her career and there is no doubting her work-ethic would be the envy of most mature adults. Needless to say, everyone is very proud of Grace's contributions to our collective project.
It has been a huge learning curve for Grace and I. Recording, distributing and marketing an independent album has been a difficult and, at times, nerve-wracking exercise. Certainly, it has absorbed a vast amount of time by so very many people; all who have helped in great and small ways.
The person who has most tirelessly worked on this, besides Grace has been Jamie Huber of The Sound Academy and Hype33 in Sydney. The number of phone calls and emails made and answered by Jamie over the years cannot be counted or measured. Jamie and Audius, Grace's Producer, have always believed in Grace and have literally invested in her long-term career prospects.
Of course, "Thanks" doesn't even begin to express our gratitude and indebtedness to our "Mum and Dad" investors - ordinary people who have provided us with the resources we would never have managed on our own! The faith of our investors in Grace's talent has been so strong, we have raised over $160,000 to date and anticipate greater future interest. Our next target is to raise $200,000 to get her to the US and begin a campaign there over the coming 12 months.
We have been blessed to find someone who will be helping us with a major fund-raiser in September to raise $20,000 to get Grace to Los Angeles in January, with the objective of writing and recording with various film and music industry professionals; such as Keith Thomas (Levosia, TN), Gregory Hinde, and Jeffrey Silverman, just to name a few.
Grace will now be returning to Sydney next week to record a pay-TV commercial and filmclip which will launch our marketing campaign on 1st August, 2009.
There are many wonderful things on the horizon, and although Im itching to tell you all, I wont spoil the surprise we have in store so you'll have to stay tuned for the next update.
In the meantime, we invite you to continue sharing Grace's websites with family and friends... word-of-mouth has been our most effective marketing tool and it is such a thrill to know Grace's fan-base has spread the globe to include Ireland and various parts of the UK and US.
